What ages do you teach?
I teach students aged 13 and above. Whether you’re a teenager, university student, or adult, my lessons are tailored to your level and learning goals.
What do I need for my lesson?
You’ll need a computer or tablet with a stable internet connection, a webcam, and a microphone. A quiet space will keep things running smoothly, and with some headphones and a cup of coffee, it’ll feel like we’re having a lesson at a cozy café—minus the noisy crowd!
I am not Japanese, can I still book a lesson?
Absolutely! While Maple Kaiwa specializes in teaching Japanese learners, students of all backgrounds are welcome. My lessons are open to anyone looking to improve their English skills.
Do I need a zoom account for the class?
No, you do not need a Zoom account. I will send you a link to join the class, and you can access it without needing to sign in. Just click the link at the scheduled time to join your lesson.
Is this okay for beginners?
Yes, absolutely! Maple Kaiwa is perfect for beginners. Our lessons are tailored to your level, and we’ll take things at a comfortable pace. You’ll build a strong foundation in English with plenty of support and practice along the way!
How do I pay for the classes?
You can use Paypal or Visa/Mastercard. Your payment details are private and will not be visible to me.
Can I take lessons on the go?
Yes! Whether you’re in your bedroom, on your lunch break at the office, in your car, at the beach, or waiting at the airport — we can have our lesson from anywhere you’d like. I’m like your personal English pocket tutor, always ready to help you improve on the go.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
Yes, no problem! You may cancel or reschedule a class with at least 4 hours’ notice. 4 hours before the lesson, or in the case of a no-show, a refund will not be eligible.
Do I need to turn on my video camera for the lesson?
My camera will always be on to provide clear explanations and support your learning. While you’re not required to turn on your camera, it’s recommended as it helps create a more effective and engaging learning experience.
How soon are your lessons available for the week?
I publish my availability two weeks in advance!
